6 THE PAT SAVAGE BAND, 9 p.m. at the Central Tavern, 207 1st Ave., Seattle. 206-622-0209. $5. 21 & older. The Vancouver, B.C.
blues rockers might not perform the kind of stuff that gets broadcast on the radio much nowadays, but their work is bound to
appeal to anyone with a love for tasty, 1970s-era blues jams. Their first Cd "Wild World"s strongest piece is "Chasin the Clouds"
which brings to mind Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" and its sincere emotion you get from the lyrics and rythmic pulse. The
Latin-flavored "Breezy" and an absolutely stomping version of Freddie Kings "Goin Down", let guitarist/bandleader Savage --
a fine vocalist and electric guitarist -- shine brightly. Wild World is worth hearing. Nowadays Pat is out touring with two
new Cd's "Made In Detroit" and "Hog Wild". They are kicking off a huge American tour in the greater Seattle/Puget Sound area
and are warming up in some smaller venues. Most of their shows are for 20,000 fans at a time so this will be a treat for
Savage and kick ass, high octane blues! You can purchase Savage Cd's online at NWBlues.com as well as major blues outlets in the area.
"Hog Wild" is available at "Central Harley Davidson" Seattle, Eastside Harley Davidson" Seattle and "Destination Harley Davidson" in Tacoma
7, 14 THE PAT SAVAGE BAND with NO QUARTER, 9 p.m. at the Royal Bear, 35731 W. Valley Hwy, Algona. 253-939-3513. $6. 21 &
older. On the other hand, anyone in the South End who doesn't want to haul all the way to Pioneer Square to check out Pat Savage
and then worry about their car getting broken into, can catch the Pat Savage Band at these consecutive Friday night performances. Opening
the shows is the local Led Zep tribute band No Quarter.
